Poland - some pictures
The Mazury Lake District - sailing, holidfays and having fun
I guess you would either have to pray a lot and/or know someone to get married here!
The musical ensemble made a nice change
Malborg - largest brick castle in Europe (or was it the world?) Anyway it is BIG - the pictures don't really do it justice
This is how it was in 1945
And Gdansk. Most of us will remember this
Sacrifices made here 3 decades ago led to what makes it possible for us to visit without even openiing a passport (but we have it ready to get back into UK!)
At the time I thought Gdansk was just this
But it also has a most beautiful - and large, 'old town'
Polish roads vary from excellent to appalling - and beyond. On this one we travelled for about 40 miles (no alternative once committed) just about enough width for the motorhome, 1-2 feet drops off the side, bone-shaking surface - and worst of all in 2-3 mile sections with traffic light control (and only half a mile between sections) and 20 minutes wait (yes!) at each set of lights!
And even more 'excitment when someone decided that the lights must have stopped working (couldn't blame them)
No doubt anyone going there next year will say how wonderful even the local roads are!!
We are currently in a campsite in Germany (just) near Cottbus, catching up with washing and slowing down
