When you are on a site with no hookup and you need your fridge running on gas its difficult to see if the pilot flame is alight particularly in bright light isn't it ?
Get your wife to keep the cardboard tube from the inside of a bacofoil roll of aluminium
foil (type you bake with) you can then use the tube to view the glass viewing window for the pilot .
Once you try it you will clearly see it lite or not .
