I took my dog down to La Marina this morning and walked the length of the beach but on the sand road parallel to the beach between the two popular wild camping places. IE the two car parks either side of the road opp the place selling pottery on the corner of the road leading to the urbanisation and La Pinet beach on the north end of the village opp the road going to Elche. Normally there ar Mh's at both these locations but normally by this time of year they have all gone. Today there were probably 15 just across from the beach and in front of the wood at la Pinet on a huge area that has been created for parking and one solitary MH on the tarmac car park which ofcourse they have a right to park on. The attitude of the garda now seems to be leave them alone if they are causing no problem and this is a definate change from a couple of years ago. This is a good spot for wilding as water can be got from the gas station on the way to the urbanisation or the park by the church on the main st. Waste goes down a manhole in the wood. Its a good location for dogs as lots of area to exercise. There is a salt lake with lots of walks around and lots of birds on the water.
