Long time caravaners, converted to Motorhome 5years ago when the girls went to university, we bought an old Dethleffs A class as an experiment and have found it suits us just fine.
Instead of upgrading to a newer van with less space we have improved our van with a bigger 2.8 engine, the old 1.9 was rubbish.
Been to most places in UK and much of France.
I have certain ammount of Tyre knowledge having worked for Pirelli and Goodyear (current) in the truck market for nearly 25 years.

Hi Geoff and Jane and :welcome3: to Club Motorhome.

Sounds like you made the right choice of motorhome first time then :) . We too have thought of upgrading but will stick with our van and improve it as required as it works really well for us.

Your engine change sounds like a pretty big improvement, was it an easy fit?

If it ain't broke..... Don't fix it!
