Hello all, I've been absent for a while, but now bought a 2009 Hobby Toscana 650 based on a Fiat Ducato 2.3, and I ask for advice on battery charging.
The leisure battery is charged through the standard mains connection, but the engine starting battery has to be charged by a seperate lead under the bonnet to a another charger. My previous 1995 Peugeot Boxer allowed me to plug in the additional charger within the van and connect to the cigarette lighter socket with the ignition off. The FIat has to have the ignition on which is not practical. Other than finding a suitable place on or under the dashboard to drill a hole to route a lead to the battery is there other options? Advice will be appreciated .
