Following member feedback we have revised the way our UK Pub Stopovers are displayed. The map showing the counties that we have pubs listed in can be viewed by clicking here.

To make route planning easier we have incorporated Google Maps to show the pubs' locations within their counties and this is shown below each list of motorhome friendly pubs.

IMPORTANT NOTE FOR USERS OF INTERNET EXPLORER!

If the maps do not display for you it is likely to be an Internet Explorer problem - the fixes can be found here - Internet Explorer/ Google Maps Issues

Each pub now has a link, in the list and on the map, to its own page with a more detailed Google Map and Google Street View where available.

This all means that subscribing Club Motorhome members can check, in advance, the location and even what the pub and car park looks like from the comfort of their computer.

As an example of the information we display we have made the Pub Stopovers in Lincolnshire available for guests to view. All the other counties require subscription to Club Motorhome to view in detail, you'll find them under 'Travel' in the 'Magazine' section of the main menu.

If you are not already a subscriber - its easy to register and subscribe in order to take full advantage of this facility - just complete the details on our registration form.

We have just increased our database of French Aires by another 50.

Virtually all our French Aires listed so far have been personally visited and reviewed by us or other Club Motorhome members. They are displayed with GPS co-ordinates, photographs, Google Maps and Google Street View where available. An example of the information we provide you with can be seen here.

Whilst we cannot claim to list 'all the aires' in France our database is as up to date as possible and often added to and revised, and doesn't suffer from the out of date information that a book has prior to its reprinting.

Let us list your pub or suitable premises - for free!

If you have a 'motorhome friendly' pub or business and would be happy for a visiting motorhome to stay overnight in your car park then we would love to add your establishment to our growing motorhome stopover directory of suitable locations.

("Motorhome friendly" just means that you have a space for one to park in your car park, mostly no bigger than a car space, and that you would welcome extra visitors to your business who are in a motorhome).

Services are not essential but the availablility of fresh water and a waste point would be a bonus to a visitor. This is a request for somewhere to park overnight while passing through and certainly not to set up camp!

There is no charge to list your business with us - this is a free service. 

We advise our members to make contact in advance, but the same day, to ensure that you have room to accommodate their vehicle and for them to make themselves known to you on arrival.

In return for your hospitality we ask our members to patronise your business whilst there.

Guidelines for using the UK Pub Stopover information on Club Motorhome.

IMPORTANT: The hospitality trade had a hard time even before the Coronavirus pandemic arrived and many businesses will have suffered because its restrictions. Inevitably there will have been some closures whether temporary or permanent. Ensure that you contact the premises before making that journey!

1.    It is the user's responsibility to establish the location is still offering the facility to stay overnight with a motorhome.

2.    Once a potential night-stop is selected you must telephone or email the premises to confirm availability and any requirements that they may have in return for you using the parking facility. This is to ensure that you don't have a wasted journey due to possible changes regarding business ownership, policy or closure etc.

3.    If you find that there has been a change to a listing please update the information by adding a comment to the facility at the bottom of each location's page. This will keep the published information as current as possible and will be very helpful to other members.

4.    Whilst many of these locations don't charge anything for parking they are businesses and they obviously hope to get some business in return for their hospitality. This is why we don't promote them as 'FREE Stopovers'. Please be sure to patronise the business!

5.    Base information to compile these lists has come from various sources including recommendations, member submissions and personal contact and is not guaranteed by Club Motorhome.

6.    Locations have also been checked and confirmed using Google Earth and where possible Google Streetview.

7.    Club Motorhome has no association, business or otherwise, with any Businesses listed.

8.    All information is believed to be correct at the time of writing
