For this example we will look at a French Aire that we display, Mimizan Plage. We've used this example because it is available for guests to view without having to be a paid subscriber.
All the Aires that we have on Club Motorhome can be found using the same method but the user needs to be a paid subscriber to get the detailed results of the others.
You may want to open another browser window displaying the Club Motorhome homepage so that you can follow this tutorial step by step on it without losing your place - Click here to open the other window.
Firstly hover over the menu button above for the 'Magazine' Section then drop down to 'Reviews', over to 'Motorhome Stopovers' and then to 'France Stopovers'. You could open this page which will show all the stopovers on one map of France or move across to 'France Regions' to then find what's in each Region or click on the Region that you are interested in - in this case 'Aquitaine'. (See first photo)
Clicking on 'Aquitaine' will take you to the page with stopovers in that Region.
If you find the map a bit crowded with markers making it difficult to select just one then use the plus and minus signs, or slider, to zoom in. You can also drag the map around to get to the area you want. Then click on the marker you select for a link to that Aire's information page.
If it's the Aire that you want then click on the named link in the 'bubble' alternatively click on another marker.
1. You can share this information on the Social Sites shown by clicking on the appropriate button.
2. The description.
3. Google Map and Street View where available (more detail in next photo).
4. Varying amounts of photographs which can be clicked on to enlarge.
5. Summary of information including facilities, charges, GPS co-ordinates etc.
6. Local website link if known.
7. Comment box for members feedback and general comments. Some Aires have a second page for submission of updated information and/or photographs.
If an orange man is visible in the Google Map then it can be dragged to the location marker for the Aire and released - the view will then change to Street View which can be dragged around to suit your requirements.
Finally, when a photograph is clicked it is enlarged and the navigation (Previous, Next, Maximise and Close) can be used on to change to another or exit the view.
If you have any problems with accessing the information for our Aires please don't hesitate to contact me webmaster@clubmotorhome.co.uk or post your query in these forums .
