Having had some stopovers submitted to us I've been prompted to set up Germany in our stopover directories  .

This does now mean that we could do with some more stopovers to add to the database.

The Germany section is broken down into its States and each one has a Stopover Submission form - so please take a moment to fill a few in . The forms are pretty straightforward to complete and give the right amount of information to suit our listings - if you have a photo or two to include then so much the better.

With your help we can continue to make these directories a really useful resource to Club Motorhome members.

Just as a reminder - there are some FREE subscriptions up for grabs! See Just submit 5 or more to qualify for details :cheer:

Thank you for your help.

There's been a super response to this request with many locations submitted and already added to the directories  .

The Bavaria and North Rhine-Westphalia areas are coming on particularly well.

If you have some stopovers in Germany that you'd like to submit we have proper submission forms as already mentioned.... but if you have a whole bunch and don't want the faff of sending them one by one then the following is the basic information that we need.

Just copy and paste the following (5 locations at a time) onto an email and add your information, then send to stopovers@clubmotorhome.co.uk and I'll do the rest .

Please make sure that any photographs you attach to your email are named to match the stopovers so that I can marry them up at this end.

Just got back yesterday from a quick trip to see the Grandchildren before Christmas. Just as well as the snow has set in for Hessen and Luxembourg. Got the New 2013 Board Atlas whilst we were there and spent a couple of hours fiddling with the POI download of the latest book. Each POI has a link back to the Board Atlas web site with the full info on the stopover but you do now have to pay a nominal amount if you want to use it. All of the info is in the two books anyway the most useful bits for planning are the page number and picture of the place.
Have done the file in AR 2011 format at the minute, Board Atlas have never objected to us making it available as a download in the past but would suggest a link to them to purchase the book if we do decide to make it available. Otherwise will put it in my drop box for those who would find it useful.

I'm very happy to include links to original material and, as always, downloads are included on this site subject to them not being in breach of any copyright issues with their originators.

The "Reisemobil Bord Atlas" covers the numerous stellplatzes in Germany. Many of these are free (kostenlos).

Thank you, that would be appreciated

Photographs are preferred but I would rather see the details listed with an option for members to submit suitable photos later on - each stopover has an update/submit photo facility.

So please do send them in.

And, :welcome2: to the forums :cheer: .

We have been to Germany on a number of occasions. It's so easy. Lots of Stellplaz (free 1 night stopover parking spots, many with a facilities post). You dont need any expensive guidebooks or website subscriptions, just look out for the Blue and Black MH Parking signs which are just after the Yellow Town Entry Sign, also indicating 50kmph speed restriction.
Many 'holiday' sites now also offer MH overnight parking in their arrivals waiting areas and use of facilites for a nominal cost, far less than the tourist camping rate.

You could do if you want to do any pre-planning or research although probably not the 'expensive' bit.

Good tips regarding the signs and holiday sites for those new to the country though  .

Anyway, as per the original post to this thread if you would like to share some of your own findings for the benefit of members we would be delighted to include them in our own listings.
